Catering - Auctioneering Services

Working with the UK MoD, US Department of Defence and other major clients for the past 17 years Ramco has extended its unique sales and marketing offering to include a wide range of additional services to further support their ever growing customer base.

Auction or Tender Process

We will work with you to produce a timetable based on your requirement to have the site clear by a particular date. The timetable will detail the role of individuals and key milestones to ensure all objectives are achieved.

Subject to a clearer understanding of your requirements, an on-site tender will be arranged. Tender set up including the layout of tender lots will be overseen by Ramco staff to ensure the lot sizes and layout reflect the target audience. If necessary, Ramco can provide suitable display and storage media.

The production and upload of lot details will be the responsibility of Ramco. This will include an individual lot identification; a description of the item and several photographs. Once complete all information will be uploaded to the Ramco tender platform hosted by the UK’s leading tender software business Bidspotter.


Marketing will be undertaken by Ramco. This will include an electronic mail shot to our existing database in addition to placing advertisements in specialist industry publications.

Customer Enquiries

All enquiries will be managed by Ramco staff. If necessary we will seek specialist knowledge and technical expertise.

Viewing Periods

An agreed viewing period will be managed by Ramco staff. Where necessary Ramco will either provide or obtain from the customer suitable risk assessments and method statements.

Reserve Lists

A reserve list will be produced using our experience and the specialist knowledge and technical information provided by experts. This list will be used to evaluate each lot and then compare the price offered against the expected reserve prior to acceptance of a bid.

Sales Deadline

At the sale deadline Ramco will immediately commence a review of all bids placed. Post review, Ramco will produce and distribute all customer invoices, arrange collection and methods of payment available.


All payments will be received by Ramco who will authorize the release of equipment pending cleared funds. The collection of equipment will be managed by Ramco staff.

Transfer of funds

The transfer of funds and sales reporting will be made within 7 days of the final collection. Ramco will transfer all and submit a report detailing all relevant sales data.

Unsold Catering Equipment

Ramco can provide alternate options for old catering equipment that remains unsold. These include undertaking further private treaty sales on-site or uplifting the equipment to our own site for further marketing.
